41 environmental violations were recorded by environmentalists as part of a joint raid with representatives of Russian Railways

Today, within the framework of the ecological two-month period, a raid was held to check the sanitary condition of the Gorky Railway right-of-way and adjacent territories. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, employees of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of the Kazan region of the Gorky Railway, administrations of Kazan districts and Executive Committees of Zelenodolsky and Vysokogorsky districts took part in the raid. The raid took place along the route: "Kazan – Vysokaya Gora – Vosstanie – Sviyazhsk – Kazan". During the detour, 41 violations were revealed, most of them were unauthorized storage of waste and cluttering of container sites. Thus, 4 landfills were found on the territory of the Vysokogorsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, 17 in the Zelenodolsky district, 4 in the Sovetsky district of Kazan, 5 in Moscow and Kirov, 6 in Privolzhsky, 5 in the Aviastroitelny district.

"Information letters will be sent to the heads of the district administration on all the revealed facts to eliminate environmental violations," said Vadim Gabdullin, chief specialist of the Central Technical Department.
