Thanks to the "Help the Planet" campaign, Kazan residents have saved 14 megawatts of electricity
Last Saturday, every resident of the Republic of Tatarstan was able to join the Russian environmental campaign "Help the Planet".
In Tatarstan, the illumination of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, Kazan City Hall, City Hall, theaters, state institutions, administrations of municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan was turned off for the duration of the campaign. The eco-campaign was supported by the Ministry of Ecology together with other ministries and departments. In addition, a large number of district kindergartens and schools took part in the Russian action. Only in the Zelenodolsk district in 21 kindergartens the lights were turned off for an hour.
"Help the Planet" is an campaign of Russian environmental organizations. The purpose of the campaign is to draw attention to the need for a careful attitude to nature, to support environmentalists around the world in an effort to save resources and foster respect for an environmentally friendly environment.
