"EcoHub" united 550 schoolchildren of Tatarstan
What professions in the field of ecology exist and what modern ecologists face – that was what schoolchildren learned at the "Ecological Hub" in the Mega Kazan shopping center. The career guidance event was attended by 550 students from 21 schools of Tatarstan in two days. Future students learned about the conditions of admission to environmental departments of universities and the features of the educational process. Ecological exhibitions, thematic workshops and devices and programs used by ecologists were organized for the guests of "EcoHub".
"In modern society, much attention is paid to environmental issues and there is a problem of a shortage of qualified personnel in this area. Our platform provides an opportunity for higher educational institutions to tell about their faculties, directions, and features of study, and for future applicants to make the right choice of their future profession. In the future, we would like to expand our geography and invite children from all regions of the Republic of Tatarstan to participate," said Olga Artemyeva, Head of the Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with Public Organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
It is worth noting that this is the third fair of leading universities, for the first time "EcoHub" was held on February 18-19, 2021. The event is supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan. Representatives of the leading universities of the republic took part in the university fair: KIU named after V. G. Timiryasov, KGEU, KGASU, KNITU-KHTI, KNITU-KAI named after A.N. Tupolev, KGAU, K(P)UGH, KSMU.
