"Every third Tatarstan citizen is now an active participant in environmental events, our like-minded person," Ecology Minister Alexander Shadrikov said today during his report. These are representatives of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, volunteers of "It will be clean", the youngest ecologists of our republic – young naturalists and all concerned residents of the republic. "As a result of the work carried out in the republic, the number of people who are not indifferent to environmental problems is growing. With such coverage of eco-educational work, the number of complaints about violations has decreased by 2 times in 5 years," the head of the department shared the data.
The youth environmental movement "It will be clean" is actively developing in the republic, the number of participants is now 9600 people. The movement of young naturalists of Tatarstan has 2000 participants. Last year, within the framework of the signed Agreement between the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan and the UNARMIA VVPOD, more than 37 thousand young soldiers joined the movement of young naturalists. In total, 527 educational classes were organized for 14 thousand listeners in 2022. Together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, an educational project is being implemented for 103 environmental centers.
In 2022, residents of Tatarstan became winners of the All-Russian campaign "Water of Russia", implemented within the framework of the federal project "Preservation of unique water bodies of the national project "Ecology".
"Tatarstan residents continue to prove that they are winning not only in practical activities, but also in improving their environmental literacy. According to the results of 2021, the Republic of Tatarstan is the leader in the number of winners of the All-Russian Environmental Dictation. Therefore, just two months ago Kazan became the main venue for the Eco-Dictation in our country," Alexander Shadrikov said.
