An illegal snow dump was discovered by environmentalists in the Novo-Savinovsky district of Kazan
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from citizens about the unauthorized storage of snow on the bank of the Kazanka River on Gavrilova St., Novo-Savinovsky district. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration together with employees of the laboratory of the Ministry carried out a visit to the specified address. During the survey of the territory, the fact of environmental violations was confirmed. The total area of the illegal dump is 186 sq. m., the volume is 98 cubic meters. Snow samples were taken by specialists. According to the results of biotesting, the 5th hazard class was determined. In the analyses, there are slight exceedances of the MPC for chloride, sulfate and petroleum products.
A warning was issued to the owner of the land plot about the inadmissibility of violations and the need to take measures to eliminate the snow dump.
It is worth noting that the ingress of dirty snow into a water body is unacceptable, since reagents, garbage and other harmful substances can negatively affect the reservoir and destroy aquatic flora and fauna.
