Eco-activists of Zelenodolsk district became winners in one of the nominations of the international forum "Friends of Protected Islands"
From November 1 to November 5, Kaluga hosted the VIII International Gathering "Friends of Protected Islands" and the first semi-final of the "Ecosophy" project of the presidential platform "Russia is a Land of Opportunities". For four days, 228 eco-activists from 39 regions of Russia went through a rich program of the semi-finals, where they took part in team-building and educational events and actively worked in a volunteer action in the Ugra National Park. 38 participants representing 18 regions of Russia reached the final.
As the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Kaluga Region Vladimir Zhipa noted: "The philosophy of the Ecosophia project is a careful attitude to the surrounding world. I wish you to carry this motto through your whole life."
Zelenodolsk participant Renata Khaketdinova from the Friends Club of the Volga-Kama Reserve "Heirs of Raifa" presented her video on environmental topics at the rally and became the winner of the "Ecosophy" stage in the "Eco-media" nomination!
It should be noted that the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan provided support to Zelenodolsk activists.
