2 tons of waste collected by the participants of the "Clean Games" in Kazan
This weekend, more than 130 caring Kazan residents gathered on the territory of the Lower Zarechye beach to clean up the Kazanka River. Cleaning took place in the format of a quest game. 34 teams took part in the "Clean Games". Each team has 3-4 people, these are activists, volunteers, residents of the city. The head of the Department of Information Systems and Environmental Education of the Ministry of Ecology Damir Valiullin also addressed the participants of the campaign with a welcoming speech: "Every year there are more and more involved citizens. I want to thank everyone for their active participation in our environmental campaigns and conscious attitude to the environment."
In 1.5 hours, by joint efforts 196 bags of garbage were collected, of which 130 bags will be sent for recycling, as well as 528 kg of tires found by the players.
This format of the environmental clean-up was to everyone's taste – people played, cleaned the territory, were treated to tea and pies, and received diplomas and memorable gifts as a souvenir.
