Environmentalists again responded on the complaint of Kazan residents about the foam in the drainage ditch
Today, the inspectors of the CTA of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan have again set out following the complaints from residents of Kazan, who reported another fact of the presence of foam in the drainage ditch in the Privolzhsky district. Today, during the visit of the ecologists, foam forming was not detected. Additionally, at the end of April, inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with specialists of the Ministry's laboratory, already visited Privolzhsky district following a complaint from residents. Then, during the ecological survey of the territory, the fact of the presence of foam in the drainage ditch was confirmed. Wastewater samples were taken from the site. A request was sent to the External Improvement Committee of Kazan about the balance holder of showery and sewer networks. Based on the information received, the balance holder is the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Urban Improvement". According to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation "On the criteria for classifying objects as objects subject to federal state supervision in the field of use and protection of water bodies and regional state supervision in the field of use and protection of water bodies" Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Urban Improvement" is subject to federal state environmental supervision.
In this regard, all information, including the results of analyses of the samples taken, as well as citizens' appeals were sent to the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Management.
