Illegal snow dump was revealed by environmentalists in the Moscow district
Illegal storage of snow in Kazan was revealed by inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan with the help of the "People's Control" information system. Kazan residents complained about the storage of snow masses on Khlebozavodskaya st. Environmentalists went to the place, the fact of environmental violations was confirmed. The area of the polluted territory was 102 sq.m., the volume was 84 cubic meters.m. Snow samples were taken by employees of the Ministry's laboratory. According to the results of bio-testing, hazard class 5 was determined, minor exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations for petroleum products and iron were revealed.
In relation to the Administration of the Kirovsky and Moscovsky districts, a protocol has been drawn up under part 1 of art.8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation "Non-compliance with requirements in the field of environmental protection during collection, accumulation, transportation, processing, disposal or neutralization of production and consumption waste". The material was sent to the Moscovsky District Court of Kazan for a decision.
