Eco-leaders of the republic were honored today in Kazan
Hundreds of participants, 18 winners, 49 prize-winners and 1 absolute winner. Today, the results of the republican contest "Eco-leader" were summed up in the cultural and entertainment hall "Pyramid". Municipalities, enterprises, public organizations, journalists, citizens - the winners were determined in various categories at the end of the year. Those, for whom ecology has become a matter of life and vocation.
The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin addressed the participants of the contest with a welcoming speech. He noted that much attention is paid to environmental problems in the republic and such contests as "Eco-leader" are a clear proof of this. "Our republic is one of the most economically developed regions of the Russian Federation. Tatarstan is advanced in oil production, processing of oil and gas chemistry and in mechanical engineering. This determines the high level of technogenic load on the environment. President Rustam Minnikhanov, the Government of the Republic pays great attention to environmental problems. After all, the comfort of people's living and their health directly depends on its quality. Therefore, the priority for us is to maintain a balance between the issues of economic development, nature protection and ensuring the ecological well-being of Tatarstan citizens." In his speech, he also stressed the importance of national projects: "This year the republic also continued to participate in the implementation of the national project "Ecology". This is the implementation of such federal projects as "Improving the Volga River", "Clean Country", "Preservation of unique water bodies", "Conservation of forests", thanks to which the state of the environment is improving."
Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, congratulated everyone who contributed to the preservation of a healthy lifestyle and ecology of our republic on winning the competition and expressed sincere gratitude for their work and active life position: "Today we honor each of our eco-leaders separately - these are industrial enterprises, departments, schools, kindergartens, as well as higher educational institutions. Of course, this is a huge contribution to the preservation of ecology and natural resources. Summing up the results for the 17th time, we see that the number of participants is growing every year, the event is getting bigger from year to year. This shows that the residents of the republic are sensitive to what surrounds us." Alexander Shadrikov also noted the great importance of the role of a teacher in environmental education. In particular, the Minister expressed gratitude to teachers of educational institutions for training the younger generation and journalists who help to broadcast environmental ideas and values.
The republican contest "Eco-leader" is held in order to encourage and stimulate individual entrepreneurs, local self-government bodies, educational organizations, public associations, mass media and individuals who provide effective solutions to issues of rational use of natural resources, environmental protection and environmental safety on the territory of Tatarstan.
This year, PJSC Tatneft named after V. D. Shashin became the winner of the cup of the absolute winner according to the results of the Eco-leader-2021 competition.
