The environmental consciousness of Kazan schoolchildren was raised today by employees of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan
Specialists of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan together with employees of the State Budgetary Institution "NPO GEOCENTER of the Republic of Tatarstan" conducted an introductory tour for students of the 8th grade of MBOU Secondary School No. 119 in Kazan. During the event, the children got acquainted with the activities of the environmental subordinate organization. The children were shown a mobile eco-laboratory from the inside, clearly showed how atmospheric research takes place, and also told what parameters and indicators are used for analyzing air samples. In addition, the students visited an automatic air pollution control station equipped with modern equipment for determining the main and specific pollutants and meteorological parameters. "Automatic station of the atmosphere contamination control points are installed in the territories where there is a direct influence of large enterprises, for rapid response to the facts of air deterioration. Monitoring data is transmitted to the Ministry's server every 20-40 minutes, which allows environmentalists to immediately respond to changes," said Artur Vildanov, head of the central laboratory of the State Budgetary Institution "NPO GEOCENTER of the Republic of Tatarstan".
At the end of the meeting, the director of the school Tatyana Fadeeva thanked the specialists, noting the importance of environmental measures for the cognitive activity of children and the professional cycle of basic training.
