Results of the work of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service were summarized for 2013

The meeting of the panel of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service for the Republic of Tatarstan was held today at the State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company “Korston” with participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ildar Khalikov.
The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, gave a report on interaction of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service with the Ministry of Ecology. He acknowledged that the database created by the Ministry on emissions into the air of Kazan, stationary sources of municipal companies and traffic flow, as well as measurements of the content of pollutants in the air of the city made by the Ministry and the Administration of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service were used for elaboration of the complex of measures necessary for provision of high quality air in the course of preparation for the Universiade and its holding.
The systems of summary estimation of air pollution were created by the Ministry with active support of the Administration of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service, including Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk.
In the course of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign that was held from April 15th until June 15th, 2013, nature protection services of the Republic, specialized ministries and authorities, organizations and companies, as well as executive committees of municipal formations carried out great work. More than 1.5 thousand sites of unauthorized waste placement were revealed.
Kazan Administrative and Technical Inspection together with Administrations of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service and the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for Tatarstan inspected municipal storm sewers discharging water into the Lake of Sredny Kaban that allowed to enhance water quality. Inspections were carried out with regard to 51 companies having negative impact on the Lake of Sredny Kaban.
Experts of the Central Specialized Inspection of Analytical Control under the Ministry monitor the quality of water in the Lake of Sredny Kaban together with the Administration of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service. Moreover, other water facilities are also monitored, in particular water areas of the river, where the work on preparation for the World Aquatics Championship 2015 is carried out.
In the course of implementation of the project on equipment of every filling station of the Republic of Tatarstan with gas vapor recuperation systems, Administration of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service has so far delivered 27 sanitary and epidemiological opinions within the boundaries of inhabited localities on the projects of justification of estimated boundaries and 3 opinions on estimation of the size of boundaries of sanitary and protective zones for filling stations with specified requirements for installation of the required equipment.
Organization of work on summary estimation of air pollution for the Nizhnekamsk industrial hub can also be cited as one of important trends of joint activity since it ensured engineering of the unified sanitary and protective zone for this industrial complex.
The level of interaction achieved in the framework of the Year of Ecological Culture and Environmental Protection in the Republic of Tatarstan should be maintained and further multiplied, summed up Artem Sidorov.
