The campaign “March of kindness 2014” was held in Kazan

On April 22, 2014 the sixth anniversary March of Kindness in the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the center of Kazan. This year the March was organized by the Center of development of voluntary work in the Republic of Tatarstan with the assistance of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Public Youth Chamber under the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of the Federal Service for Narcotics Control of the Russian Federation for Tatarstan.
The event is aimed at attraction of attention of general public to voluntary work, and engagement of the youth in various projects.
The “March of kindness” is a mass March along the central street of the city in which children’s, youth, public and voluntary organizations take part along with higher educational establishments and secondary specialized colleges of the Republic of Tatarstan.
This year the March of kindness opened the Republican voluntary campaign “Spring week of kindness” that is held this year under the slogan “We create our future together”. In the framework of the campaign, voluntary work will be carried out in the following directions:
- popularization of gratuitous donation;
- rendering of assistance to children in hardships, as well as to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and their widows;
- ecological marathon that implies campaigns promoting peace, friendship, consent and healthy lifestyle.
All in all, 300 volunteers from higher educational establishments and secondary specialized colleges of Kazan took part in the March.
In 2014, the March of kindness is planned in 20 municipal formations of the Republic of Tatarstan.
