The Third International Ecological Forum of St. Petersburg “Environment and human health: fundamental, clinical and ecological aspects of the modern microbiology” will be held on September 21-24 in St. Petersburg. Scientists from Russia, the CIS countries, the European Community, USA, Japan and other countries will participate in the work of the EcoForum-2014. Round tables, as well as expositions of the achievements of research and development, as well as educational establishments will be held in the framework of the Forum with regard to its topic.

The Republican Public Contest “Manager of the Year” was announced following the results of 2014. Thecontestisaimedatassuranceofpublicrecognition, encouragement and sharing of positive experience of the best managers of companies and organizationswho achieved high results in their fieldsand made considerable contributions into the solution of tasks related to the social and economic development of the Republic.

TheSouth-EasternTerritorialDepartmentundertheMinistryofEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstantogether with Nurlat subdivision of the “Young Guard of United Russia” carried out the campaign “Save the nature” on the territory of the municipal quarry pond. The coastal area of the water body was cleaned from litter near the urban center Tarn-varn. Collected litter in the amount of 3 cubic meters was removed to the landfill of solid domestic waste. Executive Committee of Nurlat Municipal District rendered great assistance in holding the ecological campaign.

The meeting of the board of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan “On the results of work of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in the 1st half-year of 2014” was held under the chairmanship of the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov.

In the framework of the state ecological surveillance, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department drew up an administrative protocol in compliance with Article 8.21 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of air protection regulations” against limited liability company “Foreign trade research and manufacturing association ‘Karamay’” for the failure to obtain permission for discharge of harmful polluting substances into the air as a result of activity of the filling station.

StateInspectorsoftheCentralTerritorialDepartmentunder the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstancarried out an inspection of the sanitary and ecological state of the land plot with a cadastral number 16:50:170802:26 near Mirny village.Inspectors found an unauthorized waste depositincluding scrap brick, concrete and wood.More than 200 truckloads of construction waste were dropped on to this territory in June 2014. Byeffortsofthecitytheterritorywasearliercleanedduring a sanitary and ecological campaign.

A quarterly meeting with residents and partners of Technopolis “Khimgrad” was held in Kazan. The Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilkham Sabirov, reported on the state of the territories adjacent toTechnopolis “Khimgrad”.

The Second Republican Youth Ecological Forum “Ecowave 2014” was held in Bolgar.All in all, 65 people from 17 organizations from all over Tatarstan took part in the forum. They include participants and proponents of ecological organizations from Bugulma, Nizhnekamsk, Tukaevo,Vysokaya Gora, Spassk, Zelenodolsk, Chistopol districts, Naberezhnye Chelny and Kazan, as well as representatives of state authorities, public and scientific figures.
