The Second Republican Youth Ecological Forum “ECOWAVE 2014” was held in Bolgar

The Second Republican Youth Ecological Forum “Ecowave 2014” was held in Bolgar.All in all, 65 people from 17 organizations from all over Tatarstan took part in the forum. They include participants and proponents of ecological organizations from Bugulma, Nizhnekamsk, Tukaevo,Vysokaya Gora, Spassk, Zelenodolsk, Chistopol districts, Naberezhnye Chelny and Kazan, as well as representatives of state authorities, public and scientific figures.
The program of the forum included the work of discussion platforms, seminars and master classes. The forum was aimed at support and development of ecological movements of the Republic of Tatarstan, enhancement of efficacyof the carried out events meant to foster ecological awareness of the youth and population in general. TheeventwasorganizedbytheTatarRegionalDepartmentoftheYouthAll-RussianPublicOrganization“RussianStudents’ Teams” with the assistance of the Public Youth Chamber under the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry for Youth Affairs and Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The event ended with a round table where the Head of the Department for Information and Analytical Activity, Vladislav Yuranets, took part on behalf of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Participants discussed activity of the Ministry, relevant ecological problems, while the matters regarding waste management were of the greatest importance to the participants. Certificates of public inspectors for nature protection of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan were awarded here toDmitry Spiridonov (ecological movement “EKA”), Elvira Valeeva and Lyaysan Makhiyanova(ecological movement “No. More. Trash”).
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
