A press conference devoted to the start of the annual republican contest ‘School eco-patrol” will be held todayat1 pm at the agency “Tatmedia” (Dekabristov str. 2). The Interdepartmental annual republican contest was founded by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan. The contest is aimed at engagement of pupils of secondary educational establishmentsin the practical workregarding improvement of the state of the environment.

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov and the Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal DistrictAydar Metshin discussed the measures and events that are implemented in the frameworkof the Republican long-term target program “Environmental protection in NizhnekamskMunicipal District”. A meeting of the interdepartmental working group on assurance of ecological safety was held in Nizhnekamsk on August 25, 2014. During the meeting, the members of the working groupreviewed two issues – a new ecological program of “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” OJSC for2014-2020,nature protection events of “TAIF-NK” OJSC and implementation of the technology for motor fuel vapor recuperation.

A meeting of working young people with the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, and the Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District AydarMetshin, was held in Nizhnekamsk. More than two hundred people gathered at the lecture hall of Nizhnekamsk Institute of Chemistry and Technology.

A football match between the team “SSSR” (representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and Nizhnekamsk Municipal Administration”) and the national team of working young people of Nizhnekamsk was played in Nizhnekamsk in the park “Solnechnaya polyana”.

Teachers and pupils of the 7th form of school No. 48 of the Volga District of Kazan participated in the ecological campaign for cleaning of the territories of the bank of lake Sredny Kaban. The pupils cleaned the coastline of the lake from litter in the area of the Military Station. This event was held with the assistance of the Department for the Fostering of Ecological Awareness and Cooperation with Public Organizations under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The ceremony of awarding of the winners of the contest for the “Best civil employee of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan” was held today at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. In compliance with the protocol of the sitting of the Contest committee for summarization of results, the following contestants were announced the winners:

The United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) announced the contest for pupils and students“Think! Eat! Take care!”. Pupils and students of secondary and higher educational establishments from all over the world can participate in it.In order to participate in the contest pupils/studentsshould perform some events or execute a project that willsolve one of the following tasks:
• assessment of the amount of food wastes at their educational establishments and definition/understanding of their reasons;

The Third International Ecological Forum of St. Petersburg “Environment and human health: fundamental, clinical and ecological aspects of the modern microbiology” will be held on September 21-24 in St. Petersburg. Scientists from Russia, the CIS countries, the European Community, USA, Japan and other countries will participate in the work of the EcoForum-2014.

An investment offer of the Limited Liability Company “InterBusinessGroup Engineering” (Moscow) regarding construction of facilities for the processing of hadrocarbon-containing wastes, sludge composting fields, bird droppings and wastes of carton and paper manufacture was reviewed at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with participation of the representatives of the ministries and authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan.

A teleconference regarding commencement of the documents of the national accreditation system in the framework of the Federal Law “On accreditation in the national accreditation system” as of December 28, 2013 under No. 412 was held at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan under the chairmanship of the Head of the Central specialized inspection for analytical control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of TatarstanAndrey Shibaev.
