The Interregional public organization “Nature Protection Union” announced theAll-Russian contest of children’s social drawings “Forest is afraid of fire!”
The contest is aimed at:
- formation of the concept of a forest as a complex ecosystem;
- development of creative abilities in pupils;
- formation of the concept of personalresponsibility;
- attraction of attention to the necessity to comply with the rules offire safety in forests.
Best pieces of work of the Contest participants will be placed as social ads in the largest Russian cities.

The International Remote Contest “Ecological marathon of the XXI century”is held in Kazan. The event is aimed at attraction of public attention to ecological problems of the environment, as well as formation of positive and careful attitude to nature in the young generation.The contest is held in the following categories:

Experts of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan familiarized with operation of the closed system for dischargeof oil products at the gas filling station ofJoint-Stock Oil Company“Bashneft” OAO, located in Kadyshevo villagein Kazan.The system implies collection of fuel vaporsfrom reservoirs andfuel-dispensing units into road-tankers for further removal of vapors and their recuperation at oil delivery terminals.All in all, 60 gas fuel stations in Kazan have been equipped with the systems for fuel vapor recuperation.
Protection of the environment from harmful impact of oil products is one of the most burning problems nowadays, and the companies of the Republic have all it takes to ensure reduction of such negative impact on the environment.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan (Volga) Federal University invite anyone who feels like it to undertake a tendering procedure for the award of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan named after Victor Popov for 2014for the best research workimplying great significance for solution of the most burning problems related to ecological safety of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The All-Russian contest of ecological posters “Let’s protect water together!”started in Samara. The creative contest is intended for children from 3 to 18 years of age. For the purposes of this contest it is necessary to draw an ecological poster on water importance before February 9, 2015. The contest is aimed at fostering in children of careful attitude to water as an essentially important resource and precious natural blessing of Russia.

The All-Russian Ecological Olympiad forPupils is held these days in Moscow. The Olympiad is aimed at improvement of further ecological education of childrenintended for enhancement of the level of their knowledge on ecologyand relatedsciences, and fostering of their interest to educational, exploratory, andexperimental activity. Pupils of forms 5-11 from all Russian regions can take part in it. The events will be held until January20th.

Children’s New Year Show withfairy-tale characters, Ded Moroz and the snow maiden Snegurochka, was held today at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.Various contests and quizzes were arranged for the children. Children also received sweet presents. This is the second time that this event is held by the Ministry for the employees’ children.

Members of the Ministry’s team who participated in sports contests in the framework of the Spartakiade of State Officials of the Republic of Tatarstan were awarded today at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister for Ecology Artem Sidorov delivered Letters of gratitude and valuable prizes.He expressed his gratitude to the team for active participation and wished further success.The contests were carried out in the context of 9 sports, wherein teams of 30 ministries and authorities took part. Following the results of the team classification, the Ministry’s team was rated the sixth in the Spartakiade of State Officials 2014 having gained 268 points.

An ecological and education campaign “Lesson of Cleanliness” was held today at secondary educational establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan. Fellow workers of nature protection authorities, federal and republican executive authoritiestaught the class as lecturers.
Experts of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan told the pupils about the plans of the Ministry for the next year that is declared to be the Year of Parks and Garden Squares at the School of Young Ecological Specialist at the premises of the Municipal Budgetary Educational Establishment “Vocational School No. 5” of Kazan. Fellow workers of the State Historical, Architectural and Art Reserve Museum “Kazan Kremlin” andscientific project group “Piligrim” arranged demonstration of geological showpieces– a collection ofthe extinct subclass of cephalopod, i.e.ammonites.
