The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan (Volga) Federal University invite anyone who feels like it to undertake a tendering procedure for the award of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan named after Victor Popov for 2014for the best research workimplying great significance for solution of the most burning problems related to ecological safety of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Contest conditions:
1. A piece of work (or a series of monothematic pieces) can be nominated on behalf of senior authors (no more than three) if it has never been awarded with state awardsbefore.
2. The right of nomination is granted to academicians, corresponding members of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Academy of Sciences, research institutions, educational establishments, research council for ecological problems under the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Scientific and Technical Cooperation of ministries and authorities.
3. Materials are to be submitted to thescientific-organizational sectionof the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan before February 24, 2015.

Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
