With Joint Efforts

Today, fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan made their contribution into the cleaning of Kazan City territories. In particular, they cleaned the territory of the “Newlyweds Park”in cooperation with fellow workers of the Institute of Problems of Ecology and Subsurface Resources Management under Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, cleaned the territory of the “Hermitage” garden and participated in the cleaning of the quay of Lake Kaban in Tekhnicheskaya street and Lake Kharovoe.

The raid at Pestretsy and Vysokaya Gora districts

Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted a raid at Pestretsy and Vysokaya Gora districts in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on the cleaning of the territories of cities and districts of the Republic of Tatarstan that started on April 15.

Environmental Raid in the Kazan Zoological and Botanical Garden

Today at the initiative of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan the campaign on cleaning of the Kazan Zoological and Botanical garden was carried out. Within the framework of a sanitary and ecological two-month campaign, students of the Industry and Environmental Safety Department of the Kazan State Technical University cleared the zoo territory out and prepared the soil for further flowers planting. Elena Gilmizyanova, the Principal Advisor of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Elena Muravyeva, the Head of the Industry and Environmental Safety Department, acted as organizers of the campaign.

Results of the “Environmental Safety” Contest

Within the framework of the Year of environmental culture and protection in the Republic of Tatarstan the conference “Environmental Safety”, where the results of contest of the same name were summed up, took place in the Kamsk Children Medical Center of Naberezhnye Chelny of the Republic of Tatarstan. In March all structural subdivisions were checked regarding compliance with requirements related
to medical waste management as well as sanitary, epidemiologic, and ecological regulations. Following the results of the contest, the best departments were defined in every structural subdivision.

“The Earth is Our Mother”

On April 17, 2013, the regional scientific and practical conference of young ecologists and regional ethnographers “The Earth is Our Mother” took place on the basis of the Bulgarian secondary comprehensive school No. 1 with profound studying of some subjects. Within the framework of the process of preparation to the conference by the Children Activity Center of the Spassky municipal area, they announced a contest on ecology and regional ethnography.

Days of Ecological Education in Priiksk Territorial Department

Within the framework of the Year of environmental culture and protection a sightseeing tour about specialized inspection of analytical monitoring was organized by Priiksk Territorial Department. The event was held for the pupils of secondary comprehensive schools of the Muslyumovo and Aznakayevo municipal areas.

The All-Republican Voluntary Saturday Work Campaign is to be held on April 20.

On April 20, voluntary Saturday work campaign on sanitary cleaning of the territories will take place in all cities and regions of the Republic of Tatarstan. Active participation of representatives of public organizations, students, volunteers and pupils of senior classes is expected. Employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will clean the territory of the Newlyweds Park, together with the employees of the Institute of Environmental Issues and Subsurface Use of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan they will clean the territory of the “Hermitage” garden and take part in cleaning of the Kaban Lake embankment in Tekhnicheskaya street.

April 18 - 22 — the Days of Reserves and National Parks (the March of Parks)

Today– on April 18 – the Days of Reserves and National Parks have started. For the first time, this day was celebrated in Russia in 1995 on the initiative of the Center for Wild Nature Protection. The days starting from April 18 and lasting until April 22 are called the “March of Parks”.

Approving the Emblem of the Year of Environmental Protection in the Russian Federation

The contest related to creation of the emblem of the Year of environmental protection in the Russian Federation came to an end in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Russian Federation. Denis Yezhov, Murom, the Vladimir region, became a winner. The emblem conveys an important meaning according to the contest winner. It means unity: in order to change an ecological situation in the country, it is necessary for all the citizens of our Homeland to join their forces. The outlines of Russia without division into regions and cities are depicted on the emblem. The globe is depicted as a circle.
