Today, specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan held a lecture for students of Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev (KAI).  Head of the Ministry’s Department for the State Ecological Expertise and Standardization of the Environmental Exposure Raisa Shagidullina familiarized the students with a local system for the environment surveillance of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Moreover, operation of the automatic station (located on Pavlyukhina str., Kazan) and a mobile laboratory (based on the Ford Transit vehicle) for air pollution control was also demonstrated.

Meetings of personnel were held at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with participation of fellow workers of the State Inspection for Ecological Surveillance, Central Territorial Department, Volga-Kama Territorial Department, Trans-Volga, Trans-Kama, Priikskoe, Cis-Kama, Northern, and South-Eastern Territorial Departments under the Ministry that have been appointed to civil service positions since June 1, 2015. The following topics have been discussed: responsibilities, limitations and bans, requirements on prevention or regulation of the conflict of interests, and fulfillment of liabilities entrusted with state civil officers. The principal provisions of the legislation on the state civil service and anti-corruption activities have been explained to the state inspectors during the meetings.

In the course of a scheduled inspection of the “Trade and Production Campaign ‘Sandal’” LLC, located in Tyuluachi district (Uzyak village), experts of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan revealed discharge of harmful substances (pollutants) into the air from the company’s boiler house. Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the company in accordance with Article 8.21 part 1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation “Discharge of pollutants into the air or harmful physical impact thereon with no special permission”, and the case was referred to the court to suspend activity of the given company. By order of Tyulyachi district court a ruling was given to hold the “TPC ‘Sandal’” LLC administratively liable according to Article 8.21 part 1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, and to inflict punishment in the form of administrative suspension of activity for 60 days. 

Kazan State Power Engineering University and Kazan State Architecture and Construction University proceeded with implementation of the federal educational program “Scientific school of green standards”.

The project “Scientific school of green standards” is meant to improve the existing scientific and educational base, and to create favorable conditions for development of green construction, green power engineering, green financing, and green diplomacy. Tasks of the scientific school of green standards:

1.  Popularization of principles, mechanisms and instruments, greening of construction and real estate fields, as well as housing and utilities sector, production of materials, implementation of state infrastructure projects and so on.

The II Republican Field Olympiad of Young Geologists of Tatarstan is held in Kazan at the recreation camp “Zarechye”. All in all, 30 teams from the Republic of Tatarstan, a team from Bakhchisaray district of the Republic of Crimea and a team from the Republic of Kazakhstan take part in it. A training program for young geologists regarding arrangement of the field camp, heavy mineral concentrate sampling, and basics of oil geology is envisaged in the framework of the specialized shift. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan announces the start of the 4th Open Republican Youth Contest of Social Ecological Advertisement “Clear view”.

The contest is aimed at involvement of the population in solution of problems regarding environment protection, providing of young people with a possibility to express their attitude to this or that problem in the field of ecology. Pieces of work should feature ideas and approaches to solution of the most burning ecological problems of the Russian Federation in the field of protection of air, water and land resources, in the field of management of production and consumption waste, as well as in the matters related to ecological education of the young generation. 

TheScientificandartisticexpedition “Volga”arrived today in the Republic of Tatarstan. Itincludesleadingnaturalphotographs, cameramen, urban specialists and culture experts who carry outcontinuous photo and video registration of both shores of the Volga River from its head to mouth.The delegation also includes ecological specialists who make analyses to estimate water quality. Anextendedmeetingofthe Public Chamber committee was held today for the first time in Kazan on the matters of ecology and infrastructure of live-sustaining activity of citizens. The event was aimed at improvement of relations between state authorities and public with regard to the matters of ecological safety. TheeventwasheldunderthechairmanshipofAnatolyFomin –theChairpersonofthePublicChamberoftheRepublicofTatarstan— and it includedrepresentatives of state authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan and representatives of public and educational organizations. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov made a principal report. He acknowledged that ecological safety required strategic solutions. Today such work is carried out, the strategy of ecological safety of the Russian Federation is discussed, and regions take active part in such discussionsincluding representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan. ArtemSidorovinformedthattheMinistryforNaturalResources and Ecology of Russia elaborated a document–Strategy for Ecological Safety of the Russian Federation until 2025.The Strategy for social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030 has been approved of by law of the Republic of Tatarstan. Theissueofnecessitytoensureecologicalsafety as one of characteristics of a successful region has been included almost into every section of the Strategy.
