Ecological specialists carried out a raid today around Pestretsy Municipal District of Tatarstan. A two-month sanitary campaign to clean the territories is almost over, although certain districts have fallen behind. The International project "Contest & exhibition of children's creative work 'The Red Book through the eyes of children'" is implemented in the framework of the International ecological campaign "To save and protect" under the aegis of the National Commission for UNESCO, the International Organization "Northern Forum".

The following creative pieces of work are accepted for the contest:

  • those inspired by personal impressions related to acquaintance with the Red Books of various regions and countries, as well as pertaining to the meeting with extinctive species inhabiting specially protected natural areas (during expeditions), and impressions after watching films or visiting Zoos;

those touching upon ecology and morality

A large-scale cleaning campaign devoted to the Volga Day was held today on the territory of the "Naberezhnaya" beach in Verkhny Uslon village. Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilkham Sabirov, representatives of the Executive Committee and the Council of Verkhny Uslon Municipal District, fellow workers of the Central District Hospital, specialists of the RPA "Tatcommunenergo" OJSC, as well as pupils of Verkhny Uslon secondary and specialized schools went out to clean the coastal area.
