The 2nd All-Russian ecological children’s festival will be held on June 4-5, 2016 in Moscow

The 2nd All-Russian ecological children’s festival will be held on June 4-5, 2016 in Moscow– as it is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. Secondary educational establishments of constituent units of the Russian Federation, federal and regional centers for further children’s education, children’s ecological associations from Russian regions, school forestries from Russian regions, orphan homes, boarding schools, and others are invited to participate in the festival.Contests of nature protection projects, ecological, enlightenment and creative projects among pupils will be held in the framework of the festival.The projects implemented during 2015-2016 are to participate in the contests. Those include children’s regional, interregional, all-Russian, and international academic contests, competitions, festivals and shows in the field of ecology and nature protection.

The event will be held on the threshold of the Year of specially protected areas and the Year of Ecology in order to promote ecological enlightenmentand involvement of young people in the nature protection activity.

The festival is organized by the Ministryof Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage, Government of Moscow, “Priroda” Fund, EcoCenter “Zapovedniki”, the Board for Conservation of the National Natural Heritage, and the Fund n.a. V.I. Vernadsky.
