Yegor Tarnavsky told about the implementation of the federal project "Improving the Volga" at a meeting in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, chaired by Azat Khamayev, held a meeting of the Committee on Ecology, Nature Management, agro-industrial and food policy. The event was attended by Deputy Ministers Yegor Tarnavsky and Ilnur Gubaidullin from the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Regarding the implementation of the federal project "Improving the Volga River" of the national project "Ecology", Yegor Tarnavsky noted that 11 treatment facilities have already been built and reconstructed in 10 municipalities in the republic, work is underway at two more facilities. "The planned amount of financing on the territory of the republic until 2024 is about 17.4 billion rubles, including 12.5 billion rubles from the federal budget," he said. The speaker also added that an equally important direction of this federal project is "The elimination of objects of accumulated environmental damage that pose a threat to the Volga River".  Currently, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation is working to attract federal funds for the dismantling of inactive pipelines of the Ozernoye field in the water area of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir, as well as for the reclamation of silt fields in Kazan.

During the meeting, the report of Deputy Minister Ilnur Gubaidullin was also heard, who spoke about the norm-making activities.
