The XVI All-Russian Conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh "Industrial ecology and safety" was held in Kazan Expo
The event was held within the framework of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum. It was attended by First Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Ayrat Shigapov, Head of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Fayaz Shakirov, Head of the Russian Ecological Society for the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Ziganshin, Deputy General Director of the Fund for Investment Development of Territories Ruslan Gadzhiev. The discussion was also attended by specialists of federal and regional authorities, as well as representatives of scientific and engineering organizations from the regions of the Russian Federation related to solving problems in the field of environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, regulation and prevention of negative environmental consequences.
First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Shigapov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. "Today we pay tribute to the memory of Anatoly Ivanovich Shchepovskikh, Honored Ecologist of the Russian Federation, First Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, who made a great contribution to environmental protection. By holding the conference, we expect a practical result – a professional exchange of knowledge and competencies, joint formation of priority areas of environmental protection activities and ways to improve environmental safety," the Deputy Minister said.
During the meeting, the issues of environmental safety and innovative technologies were considered. The business program was aimed at presenting the current progressive technologies and developments that will be used to solve issues in the field of environmental protection and resource conservation.
At the end of the event, representatives of science and industrial enterprises who presented the best works on innovative solutions in the field of environmental protection were awarded diplomas and commemorative medals named after A. I. Shchepovskikh.
