As a result of the work on clearing water bodies in the Laishevsky district, springs were opened

More than 180 thousand cubic meters of silt were removed from the bottom of two water bodies in the Laishevsky district. Let us recall that within the framework of the federal project "Preservation of unique water bodies" of the national project "Ecology", work is being carried out to clear the pond in the village of Derzhavino and the Meshi River near the village of Nikolskoye. Today, the objects were visited by the Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Egor Tarnavsky.

The main goal of the events is to rid water bodies of garbage and bottom sediments, restore flow, and make the environmental living conditions of people better.

Federal Water Resources Agency sent more than 36 million rubles to clean up the silted pond in the village of Derzhavino. About a third of the water surface was covered with duckweed, the reservoir was overgrown with cattails and reeds, flooded trees remained along the banks. To date, more than 80 thousand cubic meters of silt have been removed from the bottom, which is planned to be covered with a fertile layer of soil and sown with perennial grasses in the future. In total, 34 hectares of water area should be cleaned in the village of Derzhavino, the length of the coastal strip will be 7.2 km.

More than 100 thousand cubic meters of bottom sediments were seized on the Mesha River near the village of Nikolskoye in the Laishevsky district. The riverbed of the water body is winding, with a steep left bank, the depth varies from 0.2 to 0.9 m. To date, shallow water continues to be deepened here. The total area of the cleared territory will be 32 hectares. According to the employees of the contractor organization, as a result of the activities carried out, two springs have already opened at the water facility.
