More than 60 children discussed environmental issues at the Biosphere camp
The XXVII shift of the republican ecological camp-school "Biosphere" is taking place on the basis of the children's educational and wellness center "Duslyk" in Kazan. In the profile shift, students who are passionate about natural science and have high achievements in environmental Olympiads receive knowledge. This year, more than 60 children from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, as well as Kukmorsky, Aznakaevsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsk, Arsky and Tetyushsky districts gathered here.
During the event, the children got acquainted with the activities of the environmental protection agency, the management structure and employment in the ministry. The issues of separate waste collection and the effectiveness of the mobile application on violations in the field of environmental protection – "School Eco-patrol" were also raised. In addition, at the end of the meeting, the students were told and demonstrated the specifics of the work of the mobile environmental laboratory.
"Such lectures expand the horizons of children in the field of environmental protection, attract the attention of the younger generation to problems in the field of ecology and form an active position among them regarding ways to solve these problems," said Damir Valiullin, head of the Department of information Systems and Environmental Education of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
