Alexander Shadrikov appealed to FAVR with a request to reduce the discharge costs of water due to the establishment of a dry period in the republic

Today, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on regulating the operating modes of the reservoirs of the Volzhsko-Kamsky Cascade was held in the videoconference mode. The event was attended by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov and representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, AO Tatenergo, Roshydromet, Rosrybolovstvo, RAO EES of Russia, PAO RusHydro, executive authorities of the Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Volgograd, Astrakhan regions and other regions of the Volga region.

During the meeting, the issues of establishing the operating modes of the reservoirs of the Volzhsko-Kamsky Cascade for the period from July 11 to August 10, 2021 were considered.

Addressing the representatives of Federal Water Resources Agency , the head of the environmental Protection Department of Tatarstan stressed the need to reduce discharge costs through the Kuibyshev reservoir hydroelectric complex in order to save water resources due to the establishment of a dry period and a decrease in the inflow to the reservoirs of the Volzhsko-Kamsky cascade.

At the meeting, it was decided to establish, from July 11, the average discharge costs through the Kuibyshev reservoir hydroelectric unit in the amount of 5.300 cubic meters. m/s ± 200 cubic meters/s

To date, the water level in the upper reaches of the Zhiguli hydroelectric complex is 52.73 m (BS).

The next meeting of the IWG is scheduled for the beginning of August.
