Specialists of the Zavolzhsky territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan told about what species of tits live in our region. Environmentalists reminded the students of Buinsk gymnasium No. 5 that it is very important to feed birds in winter. Schoolchildren were introduced to the history of the holiday "Sinichkin Day", told what benefits birds bring to the environment. The guys found out that 10 species of tits live on the territory of Russia. For example, the great tit lives on the forest edges, river banks in Russia, but the common lapis lazuli loves warmth. In the East, the blue tit is found no further than the South Siberian forest-steppes, the sources of the Irtysh. Ornithologists have observed the azure white in southern Siberia, it belongs to a rare species of a small population. But the Moscow tit lives in the coniferous forests of the North and center of Russia.

During the walk, the ecologists told the students some more interesting facts. For example, a tit eats as many insects per day as it weighs itself. The bird got its name not from the blue plumage, but for the sonorous songs that resemble the chime of a bell "Zing-zing!". The specialists of the Ministry of Ecology reminded the children what they can and cannot feed the birds. The list of prohibited products includes swelling cereals, namely rice, buckwheat, millet, as well as black bread, fried and peppered. But seeds, oats and crumbs of white bread will help the birds survive in the cold.

At the end of the educational lesson, environmentalists together with the children hung feeders made by the hands of the preschool children and their parents on the territory of the gymnasium.

The environmental holiday "Sinichkin Day" was also held today by the inspectors of the Priiksky Territorial Administration. 40 feeders around the school were hung by primary school students of the Aznakaevsky gymnasium.
