About the Ministry

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan implements state policy in the field of nature protection

The Ministry's top objectives are:

- to provide realization of citizens' right to favorable environment; - to provide environmental safety;

- to prevent negative impact of economic and other activities on environment;

- to form and implement nature protection programs and projects;

- to manage the state resource fund within the scope of powers.

The Ministry exercises the following main functions:

- management in the field of natural resources utilization and environment protection (01.06), including:

- management in the field of atmosphere air protection (01.06.06 );

- provision of radiation safety as applicable (01.06.08 );

- regional state ecological monitoring of economic and other activities except for activities using facilities subject to federal state ecological monitoring (6/1/2011), including:

- supervision (as applicable) of fees for negative impact on the environment from objects of economic and other activities except for objects subject to federal state ecological supervision (01.06.11.10 );
