A meeting of the City Committee for Sanitary Cleaning

Today, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov took part in the first meeting of the City Committee for Sanitary Cleaning under the chairmanship of the Mayor of Kazan City Ilsur Metshin. The meeting took place at Sovetskiy District Administration of Kazan City.
The Procurator of Kazan Ildus Nafikov, the Chief of Kazan Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Rustem Kadyrov, Acting Chief of Nature Protection Procurator's Office Gulshat Gumerova, and heads of structural divisions of Executive Committee of the city took part in the meeting. Heads of industrial enterprises, managing companies, trading enterprises, educational institutions, settlement councils, and gardeners’ partnerships were present at the meeting as well.
So far, 13 waste deposits on the lands being in the ownership or on long-term lease and 7 waste deposits on the lands of the municipality have been revealed in Sovetskiy district. Last year 62 waste deposits were detected on the territory of Sovetskiy district, 55 of which were liquidated. 7 most challenging objects need to be liquidated this year.
On estimating the initiative of the city to carry out regular extended commissions, Artem Sidorov confirmed that the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will support the initiative and render assistance to city authorities. So, starting from April 16, 8 to 10 representatives of the Ministry will be assigned to different Kazan districts within the framework of a two-month sanitary cleaning campaign.
The meetings of the Committee for Sanitary Cleaning of Kazan City with the participation of the Mayor of the city are planned to take place once per two weeks.
