Young geologists of Tatarstan can take part in Siberian Geological Olympiad

Geological associations of the Republic of Tatarstan (students of grades 5-11 and their teachers) are invited to participate in the Siberian Geological Olympiad, organized by the Geological and Geophysical Faculty of the Novosibirsk State University, the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy, and the Institute of Oil and Gas Geology and Geophysics of the SB RAS.
It is possible take part in this event both in absentia and in presence. To participate in the correspondence stage it is necessary to register on the website: http://sgo.igm.nsc.ru/index.php/zaochnyj-tur and send the work before February 28, 2018 to sib.olympic@gmail.com. The competition accepts works containing an analysis of a scientific problem on the subject of a geological Olympiad with the involvement of literary sources. Authors are encouraged to focus on self-monitoring, research and interpretation when performing work. The works containing the part with personally received results and the overview part related to the topic of the work and / or the research performed will be evaluated higher. In assessing the work, first of all, the following will be taken into account:
- personal contribution of the author;
- the originality of the topic and the presentation of the material;
- the degree of accomplishment of the goals and objectives set in the work;
- the correspondence of the content of the work to its title.
The contest in the Siberian Geological Olympiad will be held on March 24-25, 2018 in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok. For participation it is necessary to fill out the preliminary application in electronic form on the website before February 1, 2018: https://goo.gl/Ng2Aai.
