A lesson on the conservation of the snow leopard was held today in the Kazan Gymnasium No. 3. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev, the deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the chairman of the Committee for Ecology, Nature Management, Agro-Industrial and Food Policy Tahir Khadeev, the head of the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications "Tatmedia" Airat Zaripov, and Ilsur Hadiullin, Head of the Education Department of the Executive Committee of Kazan answered the questions of the students of the first ecological class of the republic. The project, launched by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan within the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces, is already yielding results. During the lesson, the students demonstrated a broad knowledge of the topic and asked the questions with interest. The children shared their successes in collecting waste paper and planting trees, told about the process of making eco-crafts and participating in the work of the natural-science circle. The achievements of future ecologists are evidenced by numerous diplomas and awards. "Gymnasium No. 3 is a pioneer of the republic's environmental education. In the 1990s, an ecological lyceum functioned on its base, and today the ecological class is its successor. The application of various teaching methods and new approaches allows us to make the younger generation environmentally aware," said Minister Farid Abdulganiev.
