Today representatives of World Bank in the Russian Federation got acquainted with control and supervisory activities in environmental protection of Tatarstan

Today, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank in the Russian Federation, headed by the director András Horvái. The key topic for discussion was the reform of supervisory and oversight activities. During the meeting, the guests got acquainted with supervisory activities in the field of environmental protection in the Republic of Tatarstan, in particular, measures to identify environmental violations, innovations in state environmental oversight, and key performance indicators. The Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev emphasized that one of the components of the success of the state control and supervisory authority is its openness to the people. “For convenience of citizens, the Republican public ecological desk works in the Ministry. Information on the violations revealed by the citizens of the republic comes through all communication channels, including the Internet, e-mail, hot line, People's Control, School Ecopatrol, WhatsApp and Telegram, he said. Represented by the World Bank in the Russian Federation appreciated the use of various communication channels for contact with the public. As the guests of the meeting noted, thanks to this method, the trust of citizens to the work of the state body is increasing, and this helps to achieve high success in the control and supervisory activities. According to them, it is due to the achievements of the republic in this direction Tatarstan was selected as a region in implementing the program “Reform of Supervision and Oversight Activities”.
