At the International Conference "Study and conservation of the snow leopard in the world. Joining Forces" Honorary Wildlife Ambassador of Pakistan, GSLEP Emissary Sardar Muhammad Jamal Khan Leghari spoke about poaching and hunting of these animals in the country. As an example, he cited the case last year when a snow leopard cub was discovered in the wild, whose mother died due to the activities of hunters and poachers.

The International Conference "Study and conservation of the snow Leopard in the world" is taking place in the capital of Tatarstan. Joining forces." This landmark event brought together representatives from all 12 countries of the snow leopard range to discuss joint measures to protect the rare predator.

International Conference "Study and conservation of the snow leopard in the world. Joining Forces" began in Kazan on March 14. The organizers of the event are The Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Interregional Association "Center for the Study and Conservation of the Snow Leopard "Irbis" and the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.

Today Kamsko-Ustinsky district hosted the ecological and educational forum "It will be clean in every corner 2.0". It involved 83 activists from 11 educational organizations in the district.
 

The results of the environmental drawing contest within the framework of the International Conference "Study and Conservation of the snow leopard in the world. Joining Forces", which opens today and will last until March 15 in Kazan. The entries will be displayed at the Kazan City Hall for the guests and participants of the conference.

On March 13-15, Kazan will host the International Conference "Study and conservation of the snow Leopard in the world. Joining forces." According to scientists, the snow leopard is an indispensable symbol, indicator of the health and sustainable development of mountain ecosystems, which represent the most important natural resources. The Global Program for the Conservation of the snow leopard and its ecosystems was approved at the World Snow Leopard Conservation Forum in 2013 by all 12 countries of the snow leopard range.

8th grade students of Menzelinsk School No. 2 received important knowledge about ecology. Inspectors of the Kama Department conducted an interactive lesson on the topic "Clean rivers" on the eve of International River Day.

 

Earlier, inspectors of the Kama Department, during an inspection of the territory of Yelabuga at a container site for collecting municipal solid waste located along the Naberezhnye Chelny Highway, established the fact of waste dumping.

A large-scale project is being implemented in Tatarstan to collect car tires and further recycle them in support of the national Environmental Well-being project.

The National Environmental Company (NEC) conducted a large-scale environmental campaign, which resulted in the collection and removal of over 20 tons of spent batteries from the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. This became possible thanks to the signed Agreement and fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Ecology and the NEC.
