The staff of the institution was congratulated today by the Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov at a seminar meeting of the heads of branches of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution "Centregionvodkhoz".
Sredvolgavodkhoz, established in 2000, has been a part of the Federal State Budgetary Water Management Institution Centrregionvodkhoz since 2019. The organization carries out important measures to protect and maintain the purity of water resources, ensuring reliable operation of the water management infrastructure at the Kuibyshev reservoir in eight subjects of the Russian Federation: the Republic of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Mari El, Udmurtia, Perm Krai, Samara Region, Ulyanovsk Region and the Chuvash Republic. The main base of the institution is located in the city of Kazan, and there is also a plot in the village of Aktanysh.
The most important part of the activity of Sredvolgavodkhoz is the work on cleaning reservoirs. . For example, within the framework of the federal project "Conservation of unique water bodies", the branch carried out large-scale work on clearing a section of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir near the city of Naberezhnye Chelny in the Republic of Tatarstan. The work was carried out over two years — 2022-2023, as a result, about 1.5 kilometers of the Melekeski River were cleaned, 24.88 hectares of water were restored and over 62 thousand cubic meters of sediments were removed.
Every year, employees of Sredvolgavodkhoz carry out a set of measures to clean the water areas of the Kuibyshev and Nizhnekamsk reservoirs. In 2025 alone, 42.3 million rubles have been allocated for the implementation of these tasks.
Alexander Shadrikov emphasized the high professionalism of the institution's staff, noting their significant contribution to the preservation of the country's environmental well-being. Over the years, the institution's specialists have been actively involved in the implementation of major federal projects, the national Ecology project and the new Environmental Well-being project.

For many years of fruitful work and a great contribution to the development of the water management complex and ensuring the protection of water bodies of the republic, the Sredvolgavodkhoz team was awarded the gratitude of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology, presented a letter of thanks to Marcel Samigullin, Director of the branch.
The Minister expressed confidence that further close cooperation and joint work will help preserve the natural resources of Tatarstan and the whole of Russia for future generations.
