Round table, intellectual ecological games, and master classes. ECO volunteers of Crimea and Tatarstan share their experience and knowledge. These days, the activists of the youth environmental movement of the Republic of Tatarstan BUDETCHISTO are visiting the Crimea. The start of ecological cooperation between the two republics was given in spring this year in Kazan.

Specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly monitor the quality of discharges made to water bodies. At the beginning of this year, the inspectors of the Northern Territorial Administration sampled sewage in the Shoshma River. Then, the excess of phosphate and nitrite indices was revealed, as well as the approximation of some chemical indices to the maximum permissible concentrations.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan is preparing a project to install containers for the collection of used batteries and their subsequent disposal, which will reduce the entry of hazardous waste into landfills of solid domestic waste.
The project is scheduled to be launched in 2017. It will consist of several stages: the organization of collection, storage, transportation, and disposal of used batteries. The containers will be installed in popular places of Kazan. Now the project is being successfully implemented in Almetyevsk.

On October 7 in Tatarstan the results of the III republican contest “School Eco Patrol” will be summed up. This year among the participants there are kids who scored more than 1000 points. The greatest activity was shown by students of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk, Cheremshan, Spassk, and Yutaz districts.

Within the framework of the Year of Ecology, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation plans to create an Association of Local History Museums in the field of environmental education. Relevant proposals were formed at a meeting in the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia. As the head of the department Sergey Donskoy noted, the creation of the Association will promote the popularization of local lore in general, the creation of popular sites for environmental education of people.

The International Youth Meeting of Friends of Protected Islands will be held on September 19 to 23 2017 in the Republic of Khakassia, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Russian reserve system. The event was organized by the Ecological Education Center Zapovedniki and the Khakassia State Nature Reserve with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Khakassia.

The XXIX International Congress on the Enrichment of Minerals IMPC 2018 will be held on September 15-21, 2018 in Moscow in the World Trade Center. The event is organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute for Problems of Integrated Development of the Subsurface of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the National Research Technological University MISiS.

Corrupted agricultural land, excavators and special equipment were seen by environmentalists during the helicopter flight. The President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, members of the delegation, which included the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic, Farid Abdulganiev, planted young cedars on the territory of the memorable sign “Altai – the heart of Eurasia”.
