The International Scientific Conference (School of Young Scientists) “Chemistry and Engineering Ecology – XVII” is taking place these days in Kazan. The event, dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia and the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan, was organized on the basis of the Kazan National Research Technical University named after Tupolev-KAI. The event is attended by teachers and students of higher educational institutions in Russia and abroad.

A territorial conference on nomination of delegates to participate in V All-Russian Congress on Environmental Protection was held in Kazan. The event was attended by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev. On the conference, it was talked about the progress made by the Ministry of Ecology of the RT on measures to ensure environmental safety in the republic.

Knowledge of the natural resources of the country, minerals and their deposits can be useful to residents of Tatarstan on November 26. On this day, in all regions of Russia and abroad a third geographical dictation, organized by the Russian Geographical Society, will be held.

Applications are continuing to be accepted for participation in the All-Russian Internet contest “Effective Environmental and Educational Library Practices for Youth”, organized by the Voronezh Regional Youth Library named after V.M. Kubanev. Participants can become libraries working with youth in regions and municipalities of the Russian Federation.

In Tatarstan, the reception of applications for participation in the 5th Open Republican Youth Contest of Social Environmental Advertising “Clear look” started. “The experience of previous years shows that this project is an effective tool in attracting citizens' attention to environmental issues, – said Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. – The clear and deep look of the younger generation, their vision and different form of presentation is an excellent way to convey information for different age categories.

“Let's save the planet together!” With this slogan, a children's dance flash mob was held in the Youth park of Buinsk. Schoolchildren and pre-school children demonstrated to the citizens a creative performance reflecting the main issues of environmental protection. The active position of young nature advocates was supported by the staff of the Zavolzhsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Priik Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received citizens' appeal. A resident of Bavly complained about a neighbour who blocked the path to the tributary of the river Bavlinka by a metal wire mesh fence. To clarify the situation, the inspectors of the Priik Administration visited the site.

Tatarstanians at the age of 18 to 30 are invited to participate in the contest for youth “My land, I'm responsible for you”, dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia and the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan. The organizer is the Republican Youth Library with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Illegal dumping in the Bavly district was revealed by the inspectors of the Priik territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Oil contaminated plastic containers and packaging were found in a forest adjacent to the territory of JSC Tatoilgaz. 8 m3 of waste was dumped on a plot of 51 m2.
