Inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted the "Clean Air" campaign today in Kazan. Using a smoke detector for diesel engines, inspectors checked 24 buses of the "Baylyk-3" company that transport passengers on route 43. A large-scale ecological campaign was held today in Kazan on the beach "Nizhnee Zarech'e". Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, members of the youth team of the Russian Geographical Society, hard-of-hearing adolescents participating in the social project "Expanding the boundaries", as well as the members of the underwater research team of the Russian Geographical Society n.a. The International project "Contest & exhibition of children's creative work 'The Red Book through the eyes of children'" is implemented in the framework of the International ecological campaign "To save and protect" under the aegis of the National Commission for UNESCO, the International Organization "Northern Forum".

The following creative pieces of work are accepted for the contest:

  • those inspired by personal impressions related to acquaintance with the Red Books of various regions and countries, as well as pertaining to the meeting with extinctive species inhabiting specially protected natural areas (during expeditions), and impressions after watching films or visiting Zoos;

those touching upon ecology and morality
