Today, the II International exhibition-forum "Ecotech", opened by the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergei Donskoi, started in Moscow. The stand of the Republic of Tatarstan, which presents modern developments in the field of ecology of the largest republic enterprises, has already been visited by delegations from Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Khakassia, Chelyabinsk and Volgograd regions and other regions of Russia. "Ecologically oriented management of the economy is a distinctive feature of Tatarstan," they noted.

Applications are accepted for participation in the contest "Specially Protected Natural Territories", which participants can become preschoolers and schoolchildren from all over Russia. The goal of the competition is to develop an outlook and analytical abilities, to instill in children the responsibility for the nature of their native places, to teach them to observe the surrounding world.

The Zavolzhsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by pupils of the kindergarten "Romashka". As part of the excursion, kids were told about objects and phenomena of nature, the main sources of life on Earth, the rules of behavior in the nature. The specialists of the specialized inspection of analytical control explained how samples and water and air samples are selected and studied. 

On February 5-8, 2018, the International Geological and Geophysical Conference and Exhibition "Modern Technologies for the Study and Development of Eurasia (Geo-Eurasia-2018)" will take place in Moscow in the World Trade Center. The organizers of the event are the International Public Organization Euro-Asian Geophysical Society, the International Association of Scientific, Technical and Business Cooperation in Geophysical Research and Work in Wells, Public Organization Russian Geological Society. Experts, representatives of the largest mining and service companies, equipment manufacturers, as well as representatives of state structures, universities and research institutes and centers will come to take part in the event.

Applications for participation in the photo contest "Rare species of animals in Russia and their habitats" can now be sent. The purpose of the contest is to bring the beauty of the wild nature of our country to the wide audience and to point out the problem points: preservation of populations of rare animals and their natural habitat, support for the work of specially protected natural areas, promotion of nature conservation initiatives of WWF Russia and drawing attention to the theme of ecotourism in the Russian Federation.

Kazan schoolchildren of grades 5-8 can take part in the KVN team game on the topic "Green Country", which will be held on February 16, 2017. The organizers of the event are the Education Department of the Executive Committee of Kazan and the City Ecological and Biological Center.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation plans to expand the list of wetlands of international importance. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry. The corresponding decision was made following the results of the meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia. At present, the Ministry has worked out the question of including new wetlands in the Russian Ramsar List, consisting of 35 wetlands.
