Today, the II International exhibition-forum "Ecotech", opened by the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergei Donskoi, started in Moscow. The stand of the Republic of Tatarstan, which presents modern developments in the field of ecology of the largest republic enterprises, has already been visited by delegations from Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Khakassia, Chelyabinsk and Volgograd regions and other regions of Russia. "Ecologically oriented management of the economy is a distinctive feature of Tatarstan," they noted. Minister of Ecology of RT Farid Abdulganiev noted that this year more than 10.3 billion rubles were allocated for environmental protection activities in the republic. Of these, the main share - 85% - are funds of large industrial enterprises. This allows reducing the negative impact on the environment with the growth of the gross regional product. For example, thanks to the launch of a delayed coking unit, the depth of oil refining in Tatarstan is 99.2%. And this means that the task set at the federal level for utilization of associated petroleum gas in the republic has been fully resolved.
With the support of the federal budget, two urban dumps are being reclaimed in the republic - Samosyrovskaya in Kazan and Tagayevskaya in Naberezhnye Chelny. The total area of reclamation - more than 38 hectares, it will improve the ecological situation for the livelihood of almost a million Tatarstanians.
Two more large-scale federal projects in which Tatarstan takes an active part are the "Clean Country" - within which the reclamation of oil-contaminated lands in Buinsk is carried out, and the project "Conservation and Prevention of the Volga River pollution". More than 50% of the water area of the Kuibyshev reservoir is located on the territory of Tatarstan. As a pilot region of the Russian Federation, the republic takes an active part in the preparation of the implementation of the priority project for the Volga improvement. Already today, work has been carried out in Tatarstan on the establishment of the coastline and water protection zones of the Kuibyshev and Nizhnekamsk water reservoirs with a total length of 3,897 km and state land cadastral registration of free land plots within the water protection zones of these reservoirs with a total area of 5,703.5 hectares.
Tomorrow, on December 13 the International Conference on Waste will be held within the framework of "Ecotech". Representatives of Finland, Norway, Germany, Japan, France, China, Korea, Sweden and other countries will take part in the conference.
