All conditions for wintering created for swans on Lake Kaban

Warmed the houses and made aeration system to prevent ice-holes from freezing. On the Lake Kaban near the G.Kamal Theater, all conditions were created for wintering of the noble birds. This year, on the territory of the reservoir pumps were installed to prevent the ice cover, which will allow swans to stay all year round. At the same time, samples of water from the lake are regularly taken by specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the results of sampling, there were no excesses of pollutants in the reservoir.

On this lake, mute swans appeared in April last year as part of the implementation of the environmental education project "Reintroduction of swans." In the spring of this year, the Kazan swans showed their craving for cleanliness, which is why the graceful bird became the symbol of #ECO spring2017.
