Today, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted a raid in the Volga district of Kazan to reveal illegal snow deposits. “Our task today is to ensure that in spring, when snow melts, no reagents, litter or other pollutants get into the soil or together with ground waters into our water bodies: rivers, lakes, and springs”, acknowledged the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev. We continue to accept works for XVI Municipal Open Ecological Forum of 8-11 grade pupils "ZILANT", which will take place on January 29, 2016 in Culture and Sport Centre of the Kazan Federal University "Uniks". Theme of the forum is "Problems of soil protection in the Republic of Tatarstan". The remuneration paid to the citizens who have submitted the information on the violations of the nature protection legislation on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan has been increased. Earlier, the citizen who provided photo or video information on the offender received one thousand rubles, and starting 2016 this sum has been increased to 1.5 thousand rubles. Moreover, the list of violations has also been expanded. Citizens of the Volga district of Kazan addressed the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan complaining of the smell of sewage runoff. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry visited the scene.
