Today, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan held a joint meeting of the working group on preparation of proposals for development of a project for development of natural-recreational spaces on the coastal territory of the Kuybyshev reservoir near the Zaymishche village of Zelenodolskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Public Council of the Ministry.

As environmentalists explained, construction waste generated by the activities of organizations was disposed by dumping at the landfill site.

On January 1, 2019, a number of amendments to the Federal Law “On Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal” will come into force. If now in order to prevent a negative environmental impact, the Rosprirodnadzor Department for RT sets out standards for permissible discharges of pollutants, other substances and microorganisms for large subscribers of centralized sewage disposal systems, then this requirement is no longer valid from the new year. From the beginning of 2019, all subscribers of centralized sewage networks will have to comply with the standards for wastewater composition, which, in turn, are established by local authorities in order to protect water bodies from pollution.
Operation of economic and other objects within the boundaries of water protection zones is allowed only under the condition of ensuring protection of water bodies, environmentalists warn. Another violation of the Water Code of the Russian Federation near the Stepnoy Zai River was discovered by inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Construction trailers belonging to one of the Almetyevsk companies were installed in the water protection zone in the absence of special facilities for discharge of wastewater, including rainwater, snowmelt, irrigation water and drainage water.
