6,308 violations of environmental legislation were stopped by inspectors of the Ministry, together with the center of public inspectors, 98.6% of them were eliminated. Aleksey Polyushkov, Head of the State Inspectorate for Environmental Supervision of the Ministry of the Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, told about what results were achieved within the framework of regional state environmental supervision and what tasks inspectors-ecologists set for themselves. As part of the public environmental reception, 10,814 appeals were received from residents of the republic through 10 different communication channels. Last year, 1,796 landfills were marked on a single environmental map of the Republic of Tatarstan, 98% of which were liquidated. 1,354 notifications were received by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan through the People’s Control system, of which 679 in the Landfill category. The percentage of applications resolved in People’s Control was 97.4% based on the results of the reporting period - this is the highest result achieved among all departments of the republic.

96 centers of environmental education – eco-classes, were created in all municipal districts of the republic on instructions of the President of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan. Mentoring over them is carried out by the employees of the territorial administrations of the Ministry, said Aleksandr Shadrikov. According to the Head of the environmental protection agency, in 2018, environmentalists conducted 1,161 eco-lessons with schoolchildren, covering 24,672 pupils.

Together with the municipalities 1,760 illegal dumps were eliminated. About 11 thousand appeals of citizens were processed.

4.8 billion rubles are allocated to Tatarstan for implementation of 3 federal projects in the framework of the national project "Ecology". Funding was provided for the projects “Improving the Volga”, “Clean Water”, and “Saving Forests” until 2021. “Our task is to maximize the participation of the republic’s events in the national project”, the Minister said at an extended meeting of the end-of-year board of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Office of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Use in the Republic of Tatarstan.
