Inspectors of the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in oil spill response exercises
Comprehensive exercises aimed at working out actions in case of emergency oil spills were held in the Zainsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The exercises were held in the village of Ursaevo on the section of the Almetyevneft pressure oil pipeline. According to legend, the oil tank was depressurized. 2,928 cubic meters (2,695 tons) of oil were spilled. Specialists of the Almetyevneft oil and gas production department of Tatneft Public Joint Stock Company, together with professional rescuers from RegionSpas, demonstrated a high level of readiness by promptly completing two stages of the exercises.
At the first stage, the participants promptly notified all services and departments of the emergency situation, evacuated personnel from the danger zone and restricted access by unauthorized persons to the territory of a potential spill. At the second stage, the emergency zone was cordoned off using specialized tools and equipment, and the spread of a simulated oil spill was stopped. The operational actions of the participants ensured the successful localization and elimination of the conditional spill.
As a result of the inspection, the facility's sufficient readiness, including the necessary forces and resources, was confirmed to eliminate the oil spill.
