Aznakayevo water treatment facilities of heating networks reconstructed after the order of environmentalists

25 August 2017, Friday

The failure in the sewage treatment plant at the Aznakaevo heating networks in the Aktyubinsk settlement caused discharge of contaminated sewage into the Kamenka River. Violatioin of the nature protection legislation was revealed by the inspector of the Priik territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan during the routine inspection. Environmentalists, together with experts from SIAC, took samples of water. The analyses revealed exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations of substances in ammonium, nitrites and phosphates in the waste water. On this fact, the inspectors of the Priik administration complied an administrative protocol under art. 8.14 part 1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Violation of the rules of water use in water collection, without water withdrawal and discharge of sewage into water bodies) and issued an order to eliminate the violation. In order to prevent this violation from the end of 2016 to July 2017, Aznakaevo heating networks administration has reconstructed treatment facilities. In particular, the aeration tanks were isolated with polycarbonate, which allows maintaining a stable and optimal temperature in them throughout the year. This is necessary for the normal life of microorganisms, which play a useful role in the waste water.
To date, according to the results of environmental monitoring, discharges of sewage from the enterprise comply with the standards.
