“Geobars” – in top-3. Tatarstan schoolchildren won prizes at XI All-Russian field Olympiad of young geologists

Third place out of thirty-five. With this result the Tatarstan schoolchildren passed the XI All-Russian field Olympiad for young geologists, which this year took place in Kemerovo. Members of Geobars, the national team of Tatarstan, demonstrated their knowledge of geology in 12 areas. The active schoolchildren were in such disciplines as “Fundamentals of Safety Engineering”, “Petroleum Geology”, “Geological Route”, and “Hydrology”. Bulat Gazizullin, a student of IT-CFU, became the absolute winner in the single competition “Oil and Gas”. For this result he was awarded with a voucher to the international children's center “Artek" for the profile shift “GeoArtek”. In addition, the Tatarstanians took part in creative and sports competitions in the framework of the Olympics, where they also were one of the best. As a result of the event, the visiting card of the Geobars was recognized as the best, and Renata Davletova, a student of the gymnasium No.7 of Kazan was the best leader.
Together with the Tatarstanians, in the 11th All-Russian field Olympiad of young geologists the representatives of another 28 teams from subjects of Russia and six teams from the countries of the near abroad fought for the title of the best. The winner of the geological competitions was a team of Kemerovo schoolchildren Kuzbass, and the second place was won by young geologists from Perm.
