Banks and bottom of lake Izumrudnoye to be cleaned of garbage. Environmental campaign on lake

A large-scale environmental campaign will be held on August 4 in the village of Yudino on lake Izumrudnoye. Banks, beach area and the bottom of the lake up to 5 000 sq.m. will be cleaned of debris. The event is held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation with the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in Tatarstan. The bottom of the lake will be cleaned by scuba divers of the Federation of the underwater sports of RT and members of the RGS. Cleanup of the coastal zone will be conducted by members of the environmental movement “Budetchisto”, the All-Russia People’s Front, and the environmental volunteers.
The event is organized within the framework of the year of ecology and public spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan. The event starts at 10.00.
