The city beach in Chistopol became the central point not for recreation, but for the Republican campaign “Clean Coast”. The city residents together with specialists of the Volga-Kama territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan cleaned the Kama River bank. It was cleaned of plastic bags, plastic and glass bottles, which, according to the participants, not only harm the environment, but also pose a threat to human health. Environmentalists positively assessed the active participation of citizens in the eco-action. Specialists of the Volga-Kama Administration noted that every year this campaign is gaining increasing popularity among the citizens. Annually, the coasts of the Kama, Bernyazhki, Yerikly, and Pesochki lake are cleaned by the townspeople. Today's event is no exception – about 100 people joined the clean-up, which manifests high activity of citizens in carrying out the republican action “Clean Coast”.
Representatives of the Executive Committee of Chistopol, members of the Chistopol local branch of the United Russia party, and members of the fire department also joined the environmental event.
