Environmentalists have visited the kindergarten No. 305 where the ‘Forest museum’ opened today. The staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan have also supported the preschoolers. Leading specialist of the environmental education and public relations department Yulia Safiorova got familiar with the educational project marking that the ‘Forest museum’ plays an important role in the environmental education of the preschoolers. It provides for in-depth learning of natural sites of the motherland, gets children familiar with the flora and fauna, teaches the rules of conduct in the countryside.
The new educational project in the kindergarten No. 305 was launched in the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in Tatarstan. The teachers mentioned that nature preservation activities proved to be interesting for the preschoolers, and that for this reason ecology in considered among the priorities of the curriculum. Children love ecology lessons where they take care of flowers and animals in the ‘Nature’s corner’. Soon kids are planning to grow potatoes, onions and other vegetables in the yard and undertake several other nature preservation projects.
